Retail medical clinics of larger healthcare service providers, independent doctor offices, hospitals, and any other for-profit and non-profit organizations servicing healthcare industry are suitable use cases for deploying ComputerVault. Even though Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems are becoming more and more cloud based, still there is a need to maintain security by keeping them inside WAN without exposing them to the big bad internet. In addition, local HIPAA and PCI compliant systems at remote locations are necessary to carry out site level services.

Apart from delivering servers and storage infrastructure at remote locations, ComputerVault also delivers virtual desktops to eliminate the need to deploy, secure and support physical PCs. Currently available Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions are expensive and are based on a centralized monolithic installation architecture that often performs poorly for remote location users. ComputerVault is a low cost distributed VDI solution for remote locations and delivers virtual desktops that performs as good as physical PCs, if not even better, for users located at remote locations.

Patients visiting doctor offices, hospitals, clinical outlets, labs, and any other healthcare service providers understand that, at times, they are all alone when it comes to protecting their personally identifiable, financial and healthcare records despite the efforts taken by those healthcare organizations to protect such records. However, the cost to deploy, support and protect IT systems at remote locations are exorbitantly high. ComputerVault offers a predictable low-cost, secure, and redundant distributed cookie-cutter IT infrastructure at remote sites that also eliminates the unpredictability of the operational costs in supporting such a large number of distributed IT infrastructure deployments.

ComputerVault deploys and remotely supports all installations 24x7, thereby, eliminating 90% of the site visits of IT service providers and in some cases eliminate the need to house IT staff at remote locations.

Onsite healthcare applications can be readily deployed and managed in virtual servers and storage inside the ComputerVault that makes for efficient upgrades of such applications. Application images can be synced across sites to maintain uniform release across all the sites.

Distributed and networked ComputerVault architecture permits movement of personnel across sites in delivering virtual desktops that can be accessed from any of the remote sites. Backup and disaster recovery strategies are extremely flexible and less onerous to implement and to keep it up-to-date.

ComputerVault uses multiple broadband connections to load-balance and failover when one of the ISP is down, thereby, eliminating the need to deploy costly dedicated telecom circuits like site-to-site MPLS. In addition, ComputerVault’s real mesh network architecture eliminates the risks and overloads of traditional hub-spoke networks.

Scaling up by adding new computing resources and decommissioning old or failed hardware in any remote location is quick and easy without downtime, because, ComputerVault uses hardware clustering technology as well. Also, check out “Future with ComputerVault” on our YouTube page.
